Shieldcoat’s FILLABOND is a pure acrylic high build filler that is designed for porous concrete tiles and asbestos roofs. The purpose of FILLABOND is to hide the weathered areas of your roof and make it look all the same. By applying Shieldcoat’s FILLABOND to your concrete tiled or asbestos roof after you have applied the appropriate sealer you can create a consistent texture or finish over the whole roof that is the perfect for your new glossy finish coat of ROOFBOND Roof Paint or of THERMOBOND Heat Reflective Coating . You can also apply Shieldcoat’s FILLABOND over cement or Besser blocks and masonry walls as a high build coat to hide the joints and create a more consistent surface to be able to apply your finish coat of TEXTURESHIELD or PROVENCAL.

Yes, you need to apply a sealer to your roof before applying FILLABOND.
It depends on the type of roof you have, as to the type of sealer that you will require. If you have cement/concrete tiled roof then you will need
Shieldcoat’s SHIELDSEAL W, or for an asbestos/fibro roof you will need to apply Shieldcoat’s SHIELDSEAL T, this will ensure a proper adhesion and longevity out of FILLABOND and also your roof coating

Yes, there is a 10 year warranty with FILLABOND if you have it applied by a qualified professional painter.

Yes, after 7 days from applying the last coat of ROOFBOND Roofing paint it is safe to collect drinking water.
You need to treat it first with Shieldcoat’s RUSTSEAL or Shieldcoat’s RUSTSHIELD W, see below under the sub categories Roof Coatings or Sealers and Primers which is under the ‘Paints’ category on the left side of this page.

FILLABOND is designed to be applied by spray gun, as you get far superior finish due to being able to evenly apply each coat and get good build without getting runs.
