SHIELDSEAL W Plus is a clear sealer and primer for asbestos, fibro and metal surfaces, such as Zinc or Aluminium Coated Steel and Colorbond roofs. Has your Colorbond roof gone chalky and faded? Then you will need to apply SHIELDSEAL W Plus to you roof before you apply a finish coat like ROOFBOND Roof Paint or THERMOBOND Heat Reflective Coating .

Shieldcoat's SHIELDSEAL W Plus is a penetrating clear sealer and primer that binds chalky paints to the surface, for example your faded Colorbond roof. Also SHIELDSEAL W Plus penetrates surfaces such as asbestos, fibro and galvanised iron, providing the perfect foundation for your finished coat of your choice such as ROOFBOND Roof Paint or THERMOBOND Heat Reflective Coating .

Yes, after 7 days from applying the last coat of Shieldcoat's ROOFBOND Roofing paint (all colours) or Shieldcoat's THERMOBOND Heat Reflective Coating it is safe to collect drinking water.

You need to treat it first with Shieldcoat's RUSTSEAL or Shieldcoat's RUSTSHIELD W, see under the sub categories Roof Coatings or Sealers and Primers which is under the 'Paints' category on the left side of this page.

Yes you can use a roller to apply SHIELDSEAL W Plus, however it is designed to be applied by spray gun, as you get a far superior finish due to being able to evenly apply the coating. If you don't own a spray gun you can either buy one on this website, see the 'Spray Equipment' category on the left of this page or you can hire them from your local hire company.
