THERMOBOND Heat Reflective Paint

Shieldcoat's THERMOBOND Heat Reflective Coating comes in 4 and 15 litre pails and a range of eight light colours and also Arctic White, to suit your style. The coating needs to be light in colour for the heat reflective properties to work properly. Shieldcoat's THERMOBOND Heat Reflective Coating is very easy to apply and washes up with water!

Shieldcoat's THERMOBOND HRC is a heat reflective paint that is what the 'HRC' stands for, Heat Reflective (or reflectant) Coating. You can use Shieldcoat's THERMOBOND Heat Reflective Coating on concrete tile roofs, factory colour coated steel (Colorbond) roofs or walls, fibro (asbestos) roof or walls, galvanised iron roofs or walls, cement sheeting walls, non-glazed terracotta tile roofs and zinc/aluminium coated steel roofs or walls. You can spray or roll Shieldcoat's THERMOBOND Heat Reflective Coating onto the surface that you need to coat.

For more details, see the THERMOBOND HRC App Pdf under PRODUCT FILES

Shieldcoat's THERMOBOND Heat Reflective Coating can reduce the internal temperature by up to 30%, reducing your energy bills by a similar percentage. Shieldcoat's THERMOBOND Heat Reflective Coating reflects visible, infra red and ultra violet energy from the sun, this prevents the substrate (eg metal/tile roof, cement sheet/fibro walls) from heating up and then radiating the heat into the building. THERMOBOND Heat Reflective Coating in Arctic White has a high solar reflectance with a rating of 110.5 S.R.I. (Solar Reflective Index). Also Shieldcoat's THERMOBOND Heat Reflective Coating releases heat build up quickly due to it's good emissivity, therefore you are not getting the radiant heat still coming into the building after the sun has gone down. The result of using THERMOBOND Heat Reflective Coating is that you will have to spend a lot less on cooling your house or building. Shieldcoat's THERMOBOND Heat Reflective Coating is rain water safe after 7 days.

THERMOBOND Heat Reflective Coating is also guaranteed for 10 years.

THERMOBOND Heat Reflective Coating is a reflective coating, for a coating to reflect it needs to be light in colour otherwise the coating will absorb the heat instead of reflecting the heat. If it is a darker colour it will counteract the heat reflective additive properties of THERMOBOND Heat Reflective Coating.

See the question above 'Why are the colours of THERMOBOND Heat Reflective Coating all light colours?'.

No, we don't have a clear coating of THERMOBOND Heat Reflective Coating, as THERMOBOND Heat Reflective Coating needs a base colour so it can reflect. However, we do have a non heat reflective clear coating, it's called Shieldcoat's ROOFBOND Roofing paint (Clear Glaze), see the details by clicking on the product below, in the Roof Coating category.
